Camden stabbings: 'Stop using knives' begs grieving mother per BBC News

The BBC try to push the usual angles in this report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-43138554 and I really can't get out of my head the idea that London is descending into anarchy.

However noticeable is that the BBC don't report that these murders came just as the Metropolitan Police revealed the results of a week-long anti-weapons operation, Operation Sceptre, which resulted in nearly 300 arrests and 265 knives being seized. In addition six firearms and 45 other offensive weapons were also confiscated.

"Officers carried out 645 weapon sweeps across London and executed 76 intelligence-led warrants. Proactive operations to target wanted knife crime offenders were also carried out," the Met said.

A raid at a single house in Camden resulted in the confiscation of a number of prohibited knives, a knuckle duster, multiple firearms and a crossbow.

Do you feel safe in your part of London?
Do you feel safe visiting vibrant areas of London?
I used to frequent Camden Town, haven't been there for a couple of years now. London is being ghettoised and it will only get worse. I give it five years before there are no go areas in London, similar to those in Paris as well as other French, Dutch and Swedish cities.
